  • Freshman Class Sizes

I was reading this article in the NYTimes about Iowa having a 400(!, mostly being out of state and international students which bring more money, i.e. student services fees(like they need anymore)) student surplus for the incoming freshman class... any idea on where information like this can be found for UNI? I didn't see anything or any quick stats on the admissions page.

400 students at $32,000 a piece would be around 12.8 million. I would say the $200,000 investment was worthwhile...

Not every school in the state got $75 million of free advertising by making the NCAA sweet-16 this year. Some recruiters need to pound the pavement instead. As for the original question, UNI's enrollment should be up by at least 2,000 because of that.

Not disagreeing at all... as a matter of fact, I'd love to see that happen at UNI. I was just saying it could be a contributing factor, not a waste of money.

However, I don't think that the Sweet 16 run would increase our Freshman enrollment up 2,000 students. Seems a bit high for it to be increased...

Size 1 and 3 are common in Fall. by spring, they can easily get up to size 13+ if they are not careful.
