This will probably be our first chance to see Vince!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

For anyone who was there -- how did the Panther Fan Fest Go?!!

The football team had their first scrimmage this morning... keep an eye out for news on how it went! Two weeks from today!
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

This was the Athletic Club's first attempt at this and I think it was a huge success. They had great weather and a fairly good turnout. I believe they served right around 600, so no one went away hungry. Almost all of the athletic teams were represented and I was able to meet Vince Polakovick and Dylan Grimsley, the two new basketball recruits that just got in a couple days ago. Both were very glad to be at UNI.

The cheerleaders and TC were also there and with the kids inflatable games, it was a great night to kick off the 2004-05 Athletic season.

I spoke with a couple people who helped organize/sponsor this event and they were so impressed with this year's turnout, that they are going to plan an even bigger fan fest next year.
