Converted QB Chris Parsons recorded three solo tackles in the WIU win, forced one fumble and had one deflection, but more importantly, recovered two WIU fumbles. His first fumble recovery with 8:07 left in the second quarter eventually led to UNI’s third TD which put the Panthers up 21-7 with 7:09 left in the half. His second recovery was at UNI’s 40 with 7:49 left in the game. Parsons played both quarterback and defensive back in high school. He’s now the squad’s third-leading tackler with 17 total, including 15 solos.
